Bravo Sport Flyers History
Ken Meeks, his son Kenneth Meeks and Phil Smock started the Club in 1987. In 1990 they affiliated with a organization called the “Sport Flyers“, hence the Club’s name, till it folded in 1994. From 1995 to the present we have been with the AMA. We currently have 27 members.
Directions
The Rio Bravo Sport Flyers flying field is located on Brimhall road between Superior road and Enos Lane in Bakersfield CA.
From town, use Rosedale Hwy. or Stockdale Hwy, westbound to Superior road. Brimhall is between Rosedale and Stockdale, turn south if using Rosedale, turn north if using Stockdale. One mile to Brimhall, turn west, 1/2 mile to the field.
Latitude and longitude: 35 22.154N - 119 14.380W —> 300 foot elevation
